YSL shares no data with any external entity.  All team and player data is stored exclusively on devices or on user iCloud, if the option is selected.  Deleting the app from devices and iCloud will destroy all user-entered data on teams and players.

Q: WHY IS THE DATA I ENTER DISAPPEARING WHEN THE APP GOES INTO THE BACKGROUND OR CLOSES?

 

A: This can happen when you enable iCloud for YSL on a device with enterprise security software, such as Good for Enterprise.  Contact your IT administrators.  If they are unable to authorize YSL's use of iCloud, the only solution is to disable iCloud for YSL.

 

Q: WHY ISN’T YSL GIVING ME THE UPGRADES I BOUGHT?


A: It can happen if you’re logged into iTunes with a different account or because the app receipt from iTunes is missing or corrupted. First, ensure you have an internet connection and are using the same iTunes login that you used to make the purchases.

 

  • Try 1: If so, from the “Upgrades” screen, try tapping "restore."

  • Try 2: Terminate the app (double tap home button and slide the app off the screen).  Upon re-launch, the app should reload the receipt from iTunes, enabling the upgrades you purchased.

  • Try 3: Go through the process to purchase the upgrade.  Don’t worry: iTunes won’t allow you to pay for the same upgrade twice.  When the confirmation comes up, it should say something like "you already purchased this" and provide you the option of getting it again for free.

  • Try 4: If none of these work, then you must delete the app and reinstall it.  That will pull in a fresh receipt that will give you your purchases.  If you’ve enabled iCloud for YSL, you won’t lose your team and player data.


Q: WHY ISN’T ICLOUD DATA SYNC BETWEEN DEVICES WORKING?


A: Make sure your device has a good internet connection.  Keep in mind that it can take several minutes for data to sync with the cloud. 

 

  • On device settings, verify that you are logged onto iCloud with the same Apple ID as you used for your other devices with YSL.

  • If you see the option, ensure “iCloud Drive” is enabled.

  • In the bottom section of device settings, options for all your apps are available.  Go you Youth Soccer Lineup’s settings and enable iCloud.  Note that sometimes you must terminate the Settings app and relaunch it to pull the YSL section into it.
